Enid M. Robert, 85,formerly of Tilton, died November 11, 2001 in the Lakes Region General Hospital. She was born in Northfield NH on December 24, 1915, the daughter of Merton W. and Effie M. (Paro) Kimball. She had resided in the Tilton-Northfield area all of her life until her final illness necessitated her relocation to Laconia.
She was a graduate of the Concord Business College and was employed as a billing clerk by the Arthur S. Brown Manufacturing Company for more than 24 years. She retired in 1976.
Active in the Rebekah’s Lodge of Tilton and Franklin, she served as an officer for many years, including Noble Grand. Enid was the widow of Albert “Pete” Robert, who died in 1976.
Family members include a daughter, Lou Fournier and her husband Link Fournier of Laconia; a son, Bruce Simpson and his wife Effe Simpson of Boise Idaho; eight grandchildren, Doreen Simpson, Paula Simpson, Bradley Simpson. Brenda Simpson, Nathan Simpson, Amanda Simpson, Patricia Simpson and Jennifer Fournier; five great grandchildren, K’Lynn Daugherty, Heather Daugherty, Kaili Aldana, Alexandra Aldana Kyle Simpson and Peter Schroeder. Many of her descendants reside on the West Coast.
There are no calling hours or funeral services. Private burial was held in Park Cemetery, Tilton. The Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church St., Laconia assisted the family with arrangements. Timothy C. Molan and David L. Furber are the funeral directors.
