OLA (HANCOCK) DAVIS, of Norwell, died on Sunday, Aug. 14th at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a long illness. She was 81. Mrs. Davis was born in Owensboro, Kentucky and was raised and educated in Sorgho, Kentucky. She lived in Hingham from the mid 1940's until 1952 at which time she moved to her present home in Norwell. Mrs. Davis was the manager of Balsam's Colonial Gift Shop at Hanover Mall and most recently was the owner and manager of her own gift shop in Norwell known as the "Cricket Corner".
She leaves her husband of 61 years, John T. Davis of Norwell, and four children; Barbara D. Blaisdell and Dana H. Davis both of Norwell, Debra D. Lovell of Concord, NH and Gregory T. Davis of Rockland. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grand-children.
A Graveside Service will be conducted on Friday, Aug. 19th at 11 AM at the Hingham Centre Cemetery, Spring St., Hingham.
