Priscilla Carey McCormack
Of Tewksbury

TEWKSBURY: Priscilla Carey McCormack, age 73, a longtime resident of Tewksbury, passed away at the Blaire House of Tewksbury on Friday, November 25, 2016.
Born in Boston on January 19, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. Carey and the late Angelina (Mazzarella) Carey.
Priscilla attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1960.
Prior to her retirement, she worked for many years as a secretary.
Priscilla along with her brother Warren was a force of binding love in their large family.
She campaigned for John Kennedy, George McGovern, and Ted Kennedy often involving her family and friends in this worthwhile effort.
Priscilla engaged the Native American community for four decades giving to its causes often.
She is survived by her son, Bruce H. McCormack and his wife Adriana of Huntersville, NC; two grandchildren, Sharon and Annemarie McCormack; one sister, Angela Lochmandy and her husband Dan; five brothers, Ernest T. Carey and his wife Fran, Robert E. Carey and his wife Bette, Richard C. “Curley” Carey and his partner Cathy Burbank, Russell Carey and his wife Lorraine, and Carl C. Carey; her sisters-in-law, Liz Carey, Jane Carey, and Maryann Carey; also many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Priscilla was the sister of the late Kathleen, Patricia, and Virginia “Jeannie”, Thomas, Paul, Leonard, Francis, and Warren.

Calling hours are Monday, Nov. 28, from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. At the request of the family, all attending Priscilla’s funeral are asked to meet at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29th, at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury, for her Funeral Mass.
