David Allen Mix, 75, of Anderson died November 24 at Community Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born July 26, 1941 in New Castle, IN to Julian and Harriett (Sharp) Mix. He was a pipe fitter at Guide Lamp division of General Motors for 17 years before retiring in 1992.
He was a long time member of Piston Poppers car club. He never met a stranger. He was always on hand if help was needed.
Survivors include his wife, Glee Ann (Leaver) Mix of Anderson; two sons, Greig A. Mix and Kevin M. (Jennifer) Mix all of Anderson, two grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Mix and Ian M. Mix; three great grandsons, Chayse, Kolton and Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Jerry F. Mix, son, Christopher D. Mix and granddaughter, Tia R. Mix.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
