Lawrence (Larry) Mitz, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and nephew, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on November 12, 2016 at Community Memorial Hospital, Ventura. He passed from complications from pulmonary and cardiac arrest.
He was born in Boston Massachusetts to Arthur and Agnes Mitz on July 30, 1946. The family later moved to California where he attended and graduated from Junipero Serra High School in Gardena. He also attended Ventura College. Larry was a retiree from Southern California Edison and was currently employed at Federal Express.
Larry is survived by his wife Patti Mitz, sons Christopher Mitz and Greg Gallagher (Gina), daughter Michelle Escobar (Adam), grandsons Jake and Logan Gallagher, granddaughter Dayva Escobar, siblings Joseph and Peter Mitz, Mary Gillespie, nieces Dawn Currit (Tyler), Erika Ulloa (Victor), Kerri Mitz, and great nieces Laurel, Lilah, Ivy, and Audrey Currit. Larry is preceded in death by his brother Arthur Mitz (Mimi) and his parents.
