Fredericksburg, VA - Bonnie Kathryn (Murphy) Michaels, 64, of Fredericksburg VA passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Jackson, South Carolina.
Bonnie was pre-deceased by her parents Lucy Mae Murphy and Robert, both from Augusta GA. She lived and worked in Fredericksburg VA for the last 35 years. She was a 1970 graduate of Falls Church High School in Falls Church VA and received her nursing degree in 1984. She worked for Mary Washington Hospital as a registered nurse for over 30 years and ended her career as a home health nurse.
She is survived by her daughter Cullen Jones of Fredericksburg, VA, her brother Robert D. Murphy (Judy) of Fenwick Island DE, two grandchildren Rebecca Aydan and Daemon Alexander and great granddaughter, Madison Avery. She is also survived by niece Courtney Ples (Ryan) and great niece Lucy, and by nephew Robert D. Murphy, Jr. of Denver CO and by many relatives in or near Augusta GA.
