Mary L. Falino, 74, a longtime resident of Woburn, passed away suddenly at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center of Burlington, on Saturday, August 13, the beloved wife of Anthony C. Falino.
Mary was predeceased by her parents Mary (Mogervero) and Charles Saia, born and raised in the South End of Boston, she later moved to the West End with her husband and later settled in Woburn in 1960. Mary loved spending time with her family and was particulary devoted to her grandchildren. She was a member of the ladie lodge of the Woburn Son“s of Italy, and often read many books as a past time.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her four daughters, Rose Marie Peterson of Lowell, Diane McLaughlin and her husband Robert of Woburn, Joan Pulkkinen and her husband Dana of Merrimack, NH., and Mary Callahan and her husband James of Mason, NH. Also six loving grandchildren. She also leaves three sisters Virginia Passanisi of Largo, FL., Nancy Cannata of Melrose and Anna Salvato of Somerville. Two brothers Frank and Anthony Saia of Randolph. She was predeceased by her sister Carmela Saia and her brothers Joseph and Salvatore Saia.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn on Wednesday, August 17, at 9 a.m. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn at 10. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Interment will be private.
