WORCESTER-Virginia M. (Griffin) Coogan, 74, of 61 Pine View Ave died Sunday, August 14 in the Coes Pond Hospice.
She leaves behind her immediate family, Ellen Davenport, Michael Coogan, Kathleen Coogan, Patricia Foley and Owen Coogan; six grandchildren, Kerri Lee, Deirdre Clifford, Daniel Foley, Caitlin Foley, Christopher Coogan and John Coogan; two great great grandchildren, Troy Lee and Kayden Lee.
She was born in Worcester daughter of John and Mae (Kelly) Griffin and graduated from Girl’s Trade School. Virginia was an active member of the Ladies’ Ancient Order of Hibernians.
The funeral will be Wednesday, August 17 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main St. Burial will in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, August 16 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
