Josephine (Postizzi) Giordano, a long-time Medford resident, died Thursday evening at Life Care Center. She was 90.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Carmello and the late Sebastiana (Strazulla) Postizzi. A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Josephine was a member of the St. Joseph Parish Sodality.
She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo Giordano. She was a devoted mother to Richard Giordano and his wife Annette (Ippolito) of Billerica. She was a loving grandmother to Mark Anthony Giordano of Medford, Richard James Giordano and his wife Teresa of Chelmsford and great-grandmother of Maria Teresa Giordano. She was a dear sister to Connie LaScola and Helen Lanza both of Watertown, the late Mary Ruma, Carmella Passanissi, Rose, Joseph, James and Domenic Postizzi.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Tuesday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in Josephine’s name to the South West Franciscan Mission, 1350 Lakeview Rd. FW, Albuquerque, NM 87105.
