Roland J. Moreau, 93, of Chicopee, passed away in Mercy Hospital on Nov 1, 2016 surrounded by family. He was born on June 10, 1923 to the late Albert Moreau and Adrienne (Lemeiux) Moreau. Roland proudly served his country as a medic in the U.S. Army in World War II. In his leisure time, he loved fishing, assembling puzzles, reading books, and telling stories. He leaves his loving wife of 70 years, Fleurette (Cayer) Moreau. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Kenneth R. Moreau of Florida, and his son Brenton Moreau; a daughter Donna Mason and her husband Scott of Chicopee and their four children, Adam Davies, Kelly Mazza, Christopher and Scott J. Mason; nine great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Edward and Norman Moreau and one sister, Dorothy LeBeau. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the home of his daughter on Sunday Nov 6, from 1-4 PM for a celebration of his life. Burial will be held at a later date.
