Obituary

WORCESTER-Blanche C. (Floyd) Bradish, 87 0f 106 Wilkinson Street died Friday, May 24th in her home after a short illness. Her husband of 49 years Elliott E. Bradish died in 1984. She leaves 2 daughters, Beverly B. wife of Roy P. Preston, Jr., of East Brookfield and Barbara J. Whitson of Worcester, 5 grandsons, Ivan L. and Kevin T. Whitson both of Worcester, Brian K. Whitson of Gilbert, AZ, Roy P. Preston III of East Brookfield and Mark E. Preston of Oxford, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. 2 brothers Edward N. and Arthur Floyd predeceased her.

She was born in Leominster the daughter of Charles P. and Clara C. (Valois) Floyd and had lived in Worcester most of her life. Mrs. Bradish was a graduate of the former Worcester Girls Trade School. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Mrs. Bradish was a homemaker, an accomplished organist, provided private organ lessons and had served as secretary of the former Worcester Aquarium Fish Club.

The funeral will be Wednesday, May 29th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 AM the day of the funeral. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to UMass Memorial Hospice, 43 Harvard Street, Worcester, MA 01609 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
