Obituary

Worcester- Rita M. (Bonneau) Lessard, 77, of 485 Grove St., died Tuesday, Aug. 9, in Louisville, Kentucky, while visiting family.
Her husband of 50 years, Henry W. Lessard Sr., died in 1997. She leaves three sons, Leo J. Lessard of Auburn, Henry W. “Hank” Lessard Jr., and his wife Kathy, of Palermo, ME, and Arthur W. Lessard, and his wife Martha, of Worcester; a daughter, Rosemary B. Ridler, and her husband John, of Worcester; a brother, John Bonneau of Louisville, KY; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. She also leaves Susan Lessard of Auburn. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister, Leon Bonneau, William Bonneau, and Eleanor Powell. She was born in Worcester, daughter of John and Mary (Miller) Bonneau and lived here all her life. She graduated from Commerce High School.
Mrs. Lessard was a quality control inspector at Sprague Manufacturing Co. for many years, retiring in 1987.
She was a former member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish. She was an active member of the Colony Housing Development and enjoyed playing Bingo.
The funeral will be held Saturday, August 13, from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 12, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 330 Congress St., Boston, MA 02210.
