Joyce I Mullins, age 82, passed peacefully with family at her side on October 26, 2016.
She is survived by her 6 children and their spouses: Patricia and Gregory Craig of FL,Joyce “Rusty” and Steve Brazenor of Providence, John and Mary Ellen Mullins of Providence, Barbara and Charles Stanley of Greenville, George Mullins of North Providence, and Tom and Donna Mullins of Warwick, 15 grandchildren and their spouses, 14 great grandchildren, her brother, Donald Ducharme and his wife, Anna of Kingston, Ma, and Joyce’s sister, Rose LaCivita of Zephyrhills, FL. She was predeceased by her husband, John W. Mullins, and her siblings, Norman Ducharme, Janice Glasko, Ann Wilcox, and Peter Ducharme, her parents, Oscar and Irene Ducharme, and her cherished daughter in law, Linda Conway Mullins
While raising her children, Joyce worked with her husband at Mullins’ Gas Station. After her children were in school she worked at Prescription World as a Pharmacy Tech, then worked for the State of RI in medical records and as a Supervisor at Services for the Blind.
Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, She enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren so much that she said, “If I knew how much fun grandchildren were, I would have had them first.” She will be missed greatly.
A graveside memorial will be at the convenience of the family. Per Joyce’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. In lieu of flowers, Joyce’s favorite charity was St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where all treatment for children is free.
