Elio Magaletta died in the company of his loving family the Spaulding Hospital of Cambridge on Thursday. He was 59. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he came to the United States with his family when he was thirteen settling in South Medford. Elio was a plasterer by trade and operated his own business, Rossi Plastering. Elio was devoted to his family and was a dear friend to many in South Medford and at Tufts Park.
The son of Rosa (Rossi) and the late Michael Magaletta, he was a loving brother to Vicky Magaletta of Medford, and Carlos Magaletta of North Andover. He leaves his beloved nephews: Michael, Adam and Matthew and is also survived by many cousins and relatives.
Family and friends may visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Sunday from 4 - 8 PM and again on Monday morning, October 31st at 9 followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Entombment Private.
