Carl H. Moore, 72, went to his heavenly father on Thursday, October 20,2016.
Carl was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
He was born October 29,1943 to Mack and Zella Moore in Bristol, Tennessee and was one of seven children. At an early age he developed a love for golf that became his favorite hobby.
Carl joined the Army as a young man and served in the Vietnam War. He was a manager for Jerry’s Restaurants for a number of years prior to his long term career as a real estate appraiser and broker.
He was known as a helper to many and previously volunteered at the VA hospital and also delivered for Meals on Wheels. He loved family gatherings and spending time with nieces and nephews, and his beloved shelties Lucky and Shelby.
He was preceded in death by parents Mack and Zella Moore, sisters Wanda Akers, Marilyn Willis and brothers Thomas, Ralph and Marvin Moore.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 40 years Linda (Stephan), daughter Carla Moore (Kathy), brother Harold Moore (Judy), three half-brothers, 14 nephews and nieces and a great niece Mollie, also survived by sisters-in-law, Karen Stephan, Terri Samples (Jerry), Lisa Atkinson (Joe) and Judy Cronin (David).
Funeral service will be Tuesday 11 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Resthaven Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday at 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home
