Obituary

MARJORIE "JERRI" (SPRENGER) COOK, age 85, of Quincy and Hingham, formerly of San Diego, CA, died on Friday, July 29th at the Hancock Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Quincy after a long illness.

Mrs. Cook was born and lived all her life in San Diego until 1992 when she moved to Hingham to live with her daughter and son-inlaw. She became a member of the Hersey House in Hingham and was especially fond of the "walking group".

She was an active woman who loved sports of all kinds. She was a wonderful dancer, a champion water ski racer and good on the golf course. She was devoted to her San Diego Chargers football team.

She and her husband owned a jewelry business in San Diego for over 30 years. They traveled extensively with the Al Bahr Shrine group in which both were very active.

Wife of the late John Cook, Jerri is survived by her daughter Penny Frabotta and her husband John of Hingham and Mike Cook and his wife Joyce of El Cajon, CA. Grandmother of Todd Frabotta of Laguna Beach, CA, Kelly Hersey of Franktown, CO, Gigi Ness of Port Orchard, WA, and Byron, Troy and Tara Cook of El Cajon, CA.
Great grandmother of Breanna, Kaylee and Cameron Ness of Port Orchard, WA, Thomas Frabotta of Laguna Beach, CA and Peyton Hersey of Franktown, CO.

A memorial celebration of Jerri's life will be held on Tuesday, August 16th at 2:00 PM at Hancock Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, 164 Parkingway, Quincy, MA 02169.
Richard Broholm will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerri's memory may be mde to Hancock Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Center or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, c/o Al Bahr Shrine, 5440 Kearney Mesa Rd., San Diego, CA 92111.

The interment will be in San Diego, CA.
