Obituary

Marisa Morello of Medford died Wednesday, October 19, at Seasons Of Danvers. Born in Chelsea, she was raised and educated in Somerville, daughter of the late Sirio and the late Augusta (D'Antillio) De Crescenzo.

After graduating from Somerville High School with the class of 1953, Marisa married her beloved husband, the late Frank P Morello in 1955 at St. Catherine's Church in Somerville. She and her family settled in Medford in 1966. Marisa worked for many years as a legal secretary, as a supervisor with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and with her husband's business, Frank's Canteen. Known for being a great cook and decorator, she was also known throughout Medford as a devout member of the Round Table at Winchester Cooperative Bank.

Marisa was the devoted mother of Deanna Machon and her husband William of Carver, Anthony Morello and his wife Sandra of Wilmington, Vincent Morello of Pompano Beach, FL, and Frank Morello and his wife Jeannie of Cary, NC. She was the loving grandmother of Vanessa and her husband Daniel, Christine and her partner Daniel, Joseph and his fiancée Deirdre, Francesca and her partner Rick, Michael, Julianna, Michelle, Gabrielle, Brianna, and Melanie. She was the dear sister of Roberta, Sirio "Bob", and Deanna. Marisa was the aunt of Rona Cavallaro and Christopher Vendetti.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, on Monday, Oct 24th at 11:30 AM . Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Monday, October 24th 9 through11 AM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford. Services will conclude with burial at Lakeside Cemetery, Wakefield.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Marisa's name to Brigham and Women's Hospital, Development Office, 116 Huntington Ave., 3rd Floor, Boston, MA 02116 or to the Franciscan Children's Hospital, 30 Warren St., Brighton, MA, 02135.
