WEBSTER-Francis E. “Fran” Goodney, 62 of 140 Lakeside Ave. died Tuesday, Aug. 9 in UMass Memorial Healthcare-University Campus.
He leaves his wife of 31 years, Mary E. (Bicknell) Goodney; three sons, Robert J. Young of Worcester, Francis E. Goodney, Jr. of Michigan, Christopher F. Goodney of Leicester; two daughters, Kimberly M. Adams of Webster and Keri Goodney of Oxford; a brother, Jeffrey Goodney of Maine; three sisters, Patricia Newton and Barbara Diliddo both of Worcester and Gail Gonyou of Maine; ten grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A sister, Phyllis Brackett predeceased him.
He was born in Worcester son of Charles and Marion (Arnold) Goodney. Fran worked at the former Jamesbury Corporation. He loved his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling and his times at the Indian Ranch.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Aug. 11 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. in CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Jeremiah’s Inn, 1059 Main St., Worcester, MA 01603.
