Norma (Bruce) McCoy, 76, of Hanson, died on October 15th at home after a long illness. She was born in Bristol Connecticut in 1939, the second daughter of Norman Bruce and Helen (Powers) Bruce.
She graduated from Worcester State in 1961 with her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and was a dedicated teacher for 40 years.
Norma was the loving wife of Edward McCoy for 46 years and the beloved sister of Mary Lou Del Mastro of Wethersfield, CT. Blessed with three children; Mary Lou and her husband Christopher Lovett of Abington, MA and Tara and Robert McCoy both of Hanson. "Noni “was the adored and much loved grandmother to Aidan, Brendan, Megan and Christopher Lovett. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral services will be held on Friday October 21st at 8:00AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rt 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the St Joseph the Worker Church, 1 Maquan St., Hanson. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00-8:00PM
