June E. Morey, 84, of Putnam Pike, Chepachet died Thursday, October 13 2016 in the Overlook Nursing Home, Pascoag. She was the widow of Frank Morey.
June was born in Tauton, MA, a daughter of the late Russell and Violet (Kaplan) Pedgeon. She was a graduate of The Morton School of Nursing and worked for many years in the medical profession in various administrative positions.
June spent her working years as a nurse, mother and caregiver. She was a long time resident of Glocester Rhode Island and in retirement enjoyed many winters in Naples, Florida. June was an avid reader and dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and her trips to the casinos. She will be deeply missed by her family.
She was the mother to daughter Elinor Tetreault and her husband Wayne of Chepachet and sons Michael Morey and his wife Susan of Charlestown and Fran Morey and his wife Kathryn of Tiverton. Grandmother to Ellen Morey, Michael Morey, Stephannie D’Allesandro, Wayne Tetreault, Kristina Tetreault, Casey Morey and Ian Morey. Great Grandmother to Jillian Ceceri, Allison Ceceri, Brianna D’Allesandro, Jenna D’Allesandro, Ava Morey and Madison Morey.
Her funeral will be held Monday, October 17 at 10am in the Anderson–Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Visitation Monday 8:30 -9:30 am. Burial will be in Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the National Parkinson' Foundation. National Parkinson Foundation
