Maurice Keith McMillan, 59, of Enigma passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at his residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. McMillan at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where he will be laid to rest. Joseph Carter will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 15, 2016, immediately following the graveside service at Tift Memorial Gardens.
Mr. McMillan’s two sons, Tyler McMillan and Tanner McMillan; and his four nephews, Ryan Osman, John Bowen, Michael Bowen and Gage McMillan will serve as pallbearers.
Born on January 31, 1957 in Thomasville, Mr. McMillan was the son of Edna Fountain McMillan of Enigma and the late Maurice Carroll McMillan, who died in 2010. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Mark Carter McMillan, who died in 2004; one sister, Phyllis Dawn McMillan, who died in 2015; and a special pet, “Boss”. He graduated from ABAC with a Forestry degree and was a registered forester. He was also a certified welder. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his mother, Mr. McMillan is survived by two sons, Tyler McMillan and Tanner McMillan, both of Nashville; one daughter, Lollie McMillan of Nashville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandra and Bill Bowen of Enigma and Carole and Gregg Frank of Johns Creek; one sister-in-law, Monica McMillan of Cordele; one niece; and several nephews.
