Hilda (Caffofo) Margarida, 90, of West Warwick, RI passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Edwin S. Margarida.
Mrs. Margarida was born in Lowell, MA, daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Caffofo and had resided in Westport for most of her life before moving to Rhode Island. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a marker for the former F.R. Knitting Mill in Fall River. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in N. Kingstown, RI and enjoyed singing and dancing.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law: Deana Margarida.
She was the mother of the late Edwin J. Margarida and sister of the late Aliet Gedling, Mary Fletcher and Gloria Robillard.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M.
Visitation will be Friday, from 9-10:30 A.M., prior to the service.
Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
