LOWELL: Aurore C. (Gauthier) Clancy, age 95, a lifelong resident of Lowell, died Sunday, August 7, 2005 at Saints Memorial Medical Center.
She was the wife of Edward F. Clancy, who died August 13, 1992.
Born in Lowell on January 9, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Phibia and Virginie (LaPointe) Gauthier.
Mrs. Clancy attended Lowell schools.
She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for her family.
Mrs. Clancy was a longtime resident of the Centralville area of the city and was a communicant of St. Michael’s Parish.
She enjoyed many activities including sewing, gardening, caring for her cats and watching the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.
She is survived by one daughter; Patricia F. Kenney and her husband David of Tewksbury; one son; Bernard F. Clancy and his wife Janice (Wickroski) of Lowell; 2 grandchildren; Matthew C. Kenney and his wife Erica (Schnell) of Port Orange, FL and Sarah P. Kenney of New York City, NY; 1 sister; Pauline Boisclair of Rutland, MA.
Mrs. Clancy was the grandmother of the late Andrew J. Clancy, who died December 25, 2004.
Calling hours will held Wednesday morning, August 10th from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Williams Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Andrew J. Clancy Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Trinity College, 300 Summit St., Hartford, CT 06106 are requested.
