Alice (Texeira) Rocha Morales, 100, died Thursday October 6 2016, at Sippican Healthcare Center in Marion. She was the daughter of the late Dionisio and Marianna (Santos) Texeira.
Alice was the wife of the late Felix Morales and the late Charles Rocha. She is survived by her daughter Dolores Roderick of Taylors, SC, son Richard Rocha (Jane) of New Bedford, and son Alfred Rocha (Brenda) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. She is also survived by her daughters-in-law, Carol Rocha of New Britain, CT and Cynthia Rocha-DeBarros of New Bedford.
Alice was predeceased by her children, Charles Rocha, Jr., Donald Rocha, Patricia DeMarco, and Gary Rocha, her siblings, Maria Gonzalez, Anthony Texeira, Alfred Texeira, and Raymond Texeira, her son-in-law Albert Roderick, and her grandson, Troy Rocha.
Alice is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. In the words of Alice's 11 year old great-granddaughter Nyla Cagnolatti, "Nana had a long life. She lived 100 years. She was a legacy that needs to be celebrated". And we will...
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church on Friday October 14, 2016 at 9 AM. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alice's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
