WORCESTER-Gloria C. (Trombly) Lovely, of 41 Wayne Street passed away peacefully Friday, August 5th in her home surrounded by her loving family. Her husband Vincent M. Lovely, Sr. died in 1975. She is survived by five sons, Vincent M. Lovely, Jr. of Worcester, Michael H. Lovely of Shrewsbury, William P. Lovely of Auburn and twins Ronald P. and Robert P. Lovely, both of Worcester; 5 daughters, Kathleen G. Bartlett of Worcester, twins Laraine P. Kingsbury of Worcester and Lucille L. Biernacki of Harrisville, RI, Sheila J. Bailey of Shrewsbury and Sherrie L. Tarquinio of Hubbardston; a sister Blanid J. Moran of Worcester; 20 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was pre-deceased by her son Steven G. Lovely who died in 1974, five brothers, Clement, Gerard, Jerome, Kenneth and Garnett Trombly; and by four sisters, Clare Leary, Miriam Trombly, Valeria LaRose and Mildred Roberts.
Gloria was born in Worcester the daughter of George T. and Katherine F. (Hyland) Trombly. Mrs. Lovely was educated in Worcester and was a lifelong resident. After raising her children, Gloria became a private day care provider in her home, where for 20 years she cared for numerous infants, toddlers and children who affectionately referred to her as “Ma.” She will be remembered for her countless lessons of life, her deep faith, and the many teachings she freely shared with children, parents and all who met and knew her. Her passion in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral Mass for Gloria will be held Tuesday, August 9th at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, August 8th from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. at O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue.
