Rita A. (Philbrick) Mucci of Somerville died on Monday, October 3, at Cambridge Hospital. Born in Franklin, New Hampshire, she was a lifelong Somerville resident, and daughter of the late Albee and Emma (Marceau) Philbrick.
Rita was the beloved wife of the late Victor A. Mucci, and the devoted mother of Rosemary Hogan of Saugus, Elaine Maher of Middleboro, Victor Mucci Jr. and James A. Mucci, both of Somerville. She was the loving grandmother of Danielle, Leanne, Keri, and James, and the loving great grandmother of Brycen, Briella, and Luca. Rita was the sister of Constance Forrest of Franklin, New Hampshire, Thelma Flynn of Haverhill, Alan Philbrick of Maryland, and the late Gerry, Lois, and Pauline. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, October 6 at 10:30AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 11:30AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, October 5 from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
