Claudia DePina Mendes (25) of Brockton died peacefully on September 26th, in the city.
She was born in Monsterios, Fogo, Cabo Verde loving daughter of Eugenio and Paulina (DePina) Mendes. Claudia was a graduate of Brockton High School and a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church. She prayed the rosary and read the Bible. Claudia also enjoyed cooking for friends and family.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Amanda Vieira of Fogo, Cabo Verde, 2 sisters, Maria and Antonia Mendes both of Fogo, Cabo Verde, 3 brothers, Francisco, Jose and Arlindo Mendes all of Brockton.
Funeral Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Friday September 30th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, Brockton at 10 am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. Visitation Thursday September 29th from 4-9 pm.
