Pauline M. Reeves, 86, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, August 4, 2005, at Coffee Regional Medical Center in Douglas, Georgia.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 7, 2005, at Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County, with Elder Charles Tyson and Elder Melvin Stringer officiating. Interment will follow in the Irwinville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Reeves was born January 31, 1919 to the late William Wiley and Lillie Mae Young McGee. She lived in the community since 1964. Mrs. Reeves was a former Grader for Joe Todd Egg Company in Macon and Gray Peanut Mill in Ocilla. She was a member of Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxillary.
Mrs. Reeves is survived by two brothers and a sister: G.W. McGee of Irwinville, Walter McGee of Poulan, and Mattie Lou Snowden of Fitzgerald as well as several nieces and nephews, with whom she was very close. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Linal Reeves, three sisters, Willie Mae Stringer, Ruth Gandy and Lavinia McGee, and a brother, Phillip McGee.
