Robert T. "Bumpy" McDonald, Sr. of Falmouth died on Tuesday, September 20. Raised and educated in Somerville, he was the son of the late Martin J. and Mary (Frizzell) McDonald. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He lived for many years in Medford, moving to Falmouth in 1999. Robert was a proud member of Local 22 for over 40 years.
Robert was the beloved husband of the late Harriet A. (Dini) McDonald, and the devoted father of Robert T. McDonald Jr, Lisa McDonald Valdario of Winchester, Christine McDonald, David McDonald, and Sean McDonald and his wife Lisa of Stoneham. He was the loving grandfather of Robert, Eric, Lauren, Nicholas, Catherine, Olivia, Kylie, Jillian, and Hannah, and the brother of the late Joseph and William McDonald. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford on Saturday, September 24 at 9AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St., Medford at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, September 23 from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
