Obituary

Marjorie Reardon, age 81, died peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2002 her residence.

She was born in Somerville on November 26, 1920 to the late Francis T. and Mary (Kelley) Reardon. Her education includes graduation from St. Joseph's High School in Somerville followed by two years at Boston College.

Her education was interrupted when she enlisted into the Marines during WWII earning the title of Corporal while there. Once home, she was employed as an agent at the S.S. office for the government for over 30 years until her retirement.

Marjorie has been a resident of Medford since 1954, formerly of Somerville. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Medford. Marjorie was a Charter Member of the Women's Memorial in Washington, D.C.

She is the loving sister of Marion H. O'Connor, Mildred A. Gormley, and Elizabeth Thompson, all of Medford, and the late Francis L. and Edmund L. Reardon. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marjorie's memory may be made to Hospice Care, Inc., 41 Montvale Avenue, Stoneham, MA 02180.

Funeral from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Josephs Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours, Friday, from 2-5 p.m. Interment, Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
