Obituary

WEST BRIDGEWATER - Adolf J. Savicki, 88, of West Bridgewater died Sunday, July 31, 2005, at St. Joseph Manor in Brockton after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Alice (Kelpsh) Savicki for 59 years.

Born Feb. 1, 1917, in Brockton, he was the son of the late Ignaci and Stephanie (Marziski) Savicki.

Mr. Savicki grew up in Brockton and was a graduate of Marianapolis High School in Thompson, Conn.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II.

Mr. Savicki was a cabinet maker for the former McDonald and Minneihan Co. in Avon for 40 years.

A resident of West Bridgewater for the past 45 years, he was a member of St. Ann’s Church.

Mr. Savicki was an avid gardener.

In addition to his wife Alice, he is survived by his two sons, John Savicki of West Bridgewater and Thomas Savicki and his wife Pamella of Berkley; two grandchildren, Kristen and Eric of Berkley; and many nieces and nephews. He was brother to the late Stefania Sawlit and William, Joseph and James Savicki.

A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Ann’s Church, West Bridgewater, Thursday at 11 am. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.

Visiting hours in Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St., Bridgewater, Wednesday 7-8 pm and Thursday 9:30-10:30 am.
