Jordan, Josephine G. (Zagami) – of Medford, passed away peacefully at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital on Sunday, September 11, 2016. Josephine was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Lanteri) Zagami. Jo was born in the North End of Boston and raised in South Boston. She moved to Medford in 1952.
She was the beloved wife of the late Medford Police Sgt. John J. Jordan. Devoted mother of Margaret (Peggy) Jordan of Medford, Jo-Ann Jordan of Wilmington, John Jordan and his wife Terry of Hanson, and Thomas Jordan and his wife Sharon. Loving grandmother of Jenna Jordan Silveria, Caitlin Jordan, Jesse Previte, Jacqueline Previte, Terice Jordan, Sarah Jordan and John Jordan III. Caring great grandmother of Kyla and Pierce. Loving Sister of Grace Zagami and Marty Turney of South Carolina. Jo was predeceased by her sisters and brothers, Mary Previte, Anthony Zagami, Nancy Kurey, Sarah Zagami, Salvatore Zagami, Laura Zagami and her best friend and loving brother Fred Zagami. Survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday, September 15th, at Noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
