Jean C. (Romano) Mancini of Somerville died on Saturday, September 10, at Somerville Hospital. Born in Nicastro, Italy, she was raised and educated in Boston's North End, the daughter of the late Luigi and Anna (Dispena) Romano. Jean moved to Somerville in 1972 and worked as a payroll specialist. She was a devout Catholic.
Jean was the beloved wife of Emidio Mancini and the devoted mother of Daniela Mancini of Melrose and Lisa Mancini of Somerville. She was the sister of Tony Romano of Boston, Natalie Levato and her husband Frank of Somerville, Julie Sanfilippo of Everett, and the late Caterina Rania, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Thursday, September 15 at 9AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, September 14, from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
