Earl Franklin MacEachern, 86, of Litchfield, NH, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016, in Aurora Senior Living, Derry, NH. He was born in Washington, DC on February 10, 1930, a son of Walter and Helen (Durkee) MacEachern, and had been a resident of Litchfield for the past 17 years, formerly living in Windham, NH. In 1992, Earl retired from his career at GE after over 40 years of employment. He was a longtime member of the Londonderry Fish and Game Club as well as a member of the NRA. Earl was a longtime attendee and supporter of the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Derry.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Eunice MacEachern of Litchfield; two daughters, Shawne Hilliard and husband Russell of Litchfield, Kim Conway and husband Owen of Kennebunk, ME; two sons, Eric MacEachern and wife Lynne of Orofino, ID, Gary MacEachern and wife Nanci of Brookings, OR; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was known as ‘Grandpa Earl’ to many others as well.
Following cremation memorial calling hours were held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 3pm to 5pm in the Peabody Funeral Home & Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd. Londonderry. Funeral services was held in the funeral home at 5pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Londonderry Fish & Game, P.O. Box 229, Londonderry.
