Thelma Joyce Grice Moore, 85, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, September 8, 2016, at her residence.
Graveside services were held 4 PM, Saturday, September 10, 2016, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Michael Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, 3PM- until the service hour, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Moore was born June 22, 1931, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Joseph & Adel McLemore Grice. She was a hard worker all her life and worked in sales, including insurance and she also ran a cab service for several years. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Church of Christ in Fitzgerald.
She is survived by her sons: Larry & Patricia Moore, Stevie Moore and Chris Moore; one daughter: Angela & Lamar Reynolds, all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Brian & Kellie Moore of Louisiana, Kevin Larry Moore of Macon, Ashley Moore, Shean Moore, Christopher Moore, Jimmy & Beth Moore, Robbie Moore, Nicky McDonald, Brian & Samantha Hill, Anthony Goodman, Billy (BJ) Goodman, all of Fitzgerald, Shannon & Al Shealey of Ocilla and Misty Heath of Fitzgerald; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers: Floyd Grice of Valdosta, Bernard Grice of Fitzgerald and Bennie & Vera Grice of Fitzgerald; a sister: Florence Minshew of Rebecca and a sister in law: Phyllis Grice of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Cecil Moore; a son: Jimmy Randall Moore (Snag); a grandson: Michael Moore; a brother: Gene Grice; a grandson-in-law: Lee Heath and a sister-in-law: Faye Grice.
