John J. McDougall, 75, a resident of Methuen, died on Monday, September 5, 2016.
He was born in Lowell on July 6, 1941 to John J. and Ethel (Norman) McDougall. He was educated in local schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School. He served in the United States Army. He worked in Shipping and Receiving for Coca Cola Bottling Company in Lowell for over 35 years until retirement. He was active and very involved as a longtime parishioner of St. Anthony Maronite Church in Lawrence. He was a member of the Holy Name Society, St. Anthony’s Knights of Columbus Council # 16204, Past President of East End Social Club, Coach of Junior Basketball League at St. Michael’s Church in Lowell. Captain of ten pin bowling & candle pin bowling leagues in Lowell and Reading, MA. And also was a professional Soft Ball Coach, as well as an all around sports fan.
He leaves his loving wife of 32 years; Josephine M. (Eyssi) McDougall, his brothers: Donald McDougall of NH, Robert McDougall of Dracut, one sister Judith Plourde of Dracut, two half brothers; Raymond and Albert Normandin of California. As well as several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:30AM at St. Anthony Maronite Church in Lawrence. A burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery in Methuen.
