NATICK – Jesus M. Diaz, age 72, of Natick and formerly of Ashland, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016 after a brief illness, with his loving family at his side. He was the founder and longtime owner of Jesse’s Landscaping in Ashland.
Jesus was born in Manatí, Puerto Rico, which was often called the “Athens of Puerto Rico”, the son of the late Jesus Diaz Aponte and Isabel Feliciano. He had a passion for cars, and over the years purchased and sold many. His kindness and generous nature shone through in many ways, whether taking a friend shopping or to a doctor’s appointment, or in his longtime love of refurbishing old bicycles and gifting them to those in need, he was known to be ready to lend a hand. Jesus became well known for his joy of cooking and his pleasure in sharing meals and recipes with his family and friends.
Jesus is survived by his children, Stephanie Ferro and her husband Antonio of Natick, Alyson Diaz and her partner Carols Fernandez of Natick, and Jason Diaz of South Carolina, his grandchildren, Tony, Jessica, Andrew, Skye, Michael, Charlize, and Madison; and his two great-grandchildren of whom he was so proud, Adriana and Briana. He is also survived by several brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews who were also all so special to him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common on Friday, September 9 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation hours will be held beginning at 9:30 A.M. Interment will follow the service in St. Patrick Cemetery.
