Obituary

CHICOPEE - The Paradis family has lost a beloved member. On September 2nd Roy passed away after his courageous battle with cancer.

If we could write a story it would be the greatest ever told, of a kind and loving father who had a heart of gold. We will remember all he’s taught us and he will always be in our hearts. Roy loved unconditionally and his passions were simple, having his family around him. His day wasn’t complete without his walk around the reservoir and his breakfast after at Al’s Diner. Roy had a love for food, most people eat to live he lived to eat. He loved the Red Sox and enjoyed spending time on the beach in Naples, Florida. He retired in 2008 after a lifelong career as a printer.

He leaves behind his loving wife Madelyn of 51 years and his most prized possessions his four children Kim, Todd, Michael and Steven. He also leaves behind one son in-law and three daughters-in-law. Roy had nine grandchildren Cory, Jessie, Taylor, Lindsey, Collin, Christopher, Callie, Brenden and Garrett also one great grandchild Ryder.

Please join the family for burial services at the Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley on September 14 at 1:30pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital. Arrangements have been entrusted to the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. For more details, please visit: www.stpierrephaneuf.com
