Obituary

Belmont------Anna M. Parker, age 81, of Belmont, NH passed away peacefully at Dartmouth Hospital, on August 23, 2016. She was born April 30, 1935, in Washburn, Maine, to Isaia and Norman Kennedy. Anna and late husband John B. Parker were longtime residents of Manchester, where she was a dedicated employee of the Manchester Police Department.

Moving to the Lakes Region after retirement to spend time with family, Anna never missed the opportunity to play a game of cards with grandchildren, great grandchildren, or any other challengers. A weekly trip for card games was also her connection to old Manchester friends. She enjoyed journeys to the ocean, with a keen interest in New England lighthouses - Nubble her favorite. A woman of many hobbies, avid reading was for herself while her love of cooking, knitting and sewing was generally for the benefit of others. Known as “Nanny” by her great grandchildren, Anna was generous with her time, her hugs, her smiles and most of all, her kindness. She will be missed.
