Robert C. "Bobby" Bernier, 76, of Dartmouth and New Bedford died July 24, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital.
He was the loving son of the late Harriet M. (Almy) and John E. Bernier, Sr.
Born with Cerebral Palsy, he was home schooled. Working at the New Bedford Opportunity Center was one of the highlights of his life. He also was a volunteer at the New Bedford United Front Day Care Center.
Bobby enjoyed dancing, music, the arts and traveling. Most important was being with his family and friends. He was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan.
He will be sadly missed by his loving brother, John E. Bernier, Jr., and his wife Shirley, of Dartmouth; his 2 loving nieces, Patricia Bennett of Hummelstown, Penn, and Kimberly Roderick of Tiverton, RI; his loving nephew and godchild, John E. Bernier, IV, of Dartmouth; and many loving great-nieces and great-nephews.
He will be sadly missed.
A private Graveside Service was held on Wednesday morning, July 27th in St. John's Cemetery, New Bedford.
