BEVERLY: Eric R. Murray, 67, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in the Beverly Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Ann Marie (Marshall) Murray.
Born in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada on March 13, 1949, he was the son of the late Vernon Clifford Murray and Anne (Setzke) Guidi. Eric was a Beverly resident for 55 years. He was a graduate of Beverly High School and Claude H. Patton Trade School for drafting. He went on to work for Sylvania and Hanson Engineering and retired recently and worked as a crossing guard for the City of Beverly which gave him so much enjoyment. He loved living by the water and though looking elsewhere he could never leave Beverly. His biggest joys in life were had with his family he was an extremely loving husband and the proudest father always bragging about his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 44 years, he is survived by two sons, Keith R. Murray and his wife, Cheryl and Brett A. Murray; his daughter, Erica A. Murray; two grandchildren, Matthew and Carney Murray; two brothers, Mitchell Gordon and his wife, Patricia and Daniel Gordon; three sisters-in-law, Kathy Conlon, Jae Armenta and Lynda Gotts and her husband, David and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his son, Mark V. Murray, brother, Peter Murray, father and mother in-law, John and Caryl Marshall, sister-in-law, Louise Marshall and brother-in-law, Johnny Marshall.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 27th in the First Baptist of Beverly, 221 Cabot St., Beverly at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
