Janet A. (Hines) Capone, 53, a longtime resident of Dedham, died Thursday, July 14, 2005, at Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain.
She was the wife of Gilbert E. Capone.
Born in Brighton, she was the daughter of Janet A. Hines of Dedham and the late David F. Hines. She was a graduate of 1969 Dedham High School, Aquinas Junior College and Cambridge College.
A former Town Meeting member, she also worked many years at the Needham Children's Center and most recently as a teacher at Dedham High School.
Besides her husband, she leaves her son, David E. Capone of Dedham; her siblings, Kathleen McClain of Norfolk, Christine McCusker of Dedham, David Hines Jr. of Whitman, Gail Courtney of West Roxbury, Kevin and Stephen Hines, both of Norwood; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral services took place from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St.,Dedham, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church in Dedham.
Burial was in Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
Visiting hours took place at the funeral home.
