DRACUT—Pasquale ‘Pat’ Schiripo, 92 years old, died early Tuesday morning at D’Youville Senior Care. He was the beloved husband of Janet A. (Berube) Burke, of Dracut, who survives him.
He was born in Watertown, on April 29, 1913, a son of the late John and Josephine (Sandelli) Schiripo, and was a graduate of Dracut Schools.
Mr. Schiripo was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during World War II. He received a Purple Heart for injuries during the war. For over 50 years he was a co-owner of New England Cement Block, Inc., in Dracut.
He was a communicant of the St. Francis Church, and a member of the Dracut American Legion.
Surviving him besides his wife of 56 years, are a son and daughter-in-law: Thomas and Nancy Schiripo, of Dracut; two daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Dennis Carr, of Dracut; and Patti Schiripo and William Krovatin, of Glenridge, NJ; five grandchildren: Cara Schiripo, and her fiancé Adam Foss, Taryn Schiripo, both of Dracut; Brendan, Jan, and Victoria Krovatin, of NJ; three brothers: Orlando ‘Andy’ Schiripo, Joseph and Lillian Schiripo, and John ‘Junior’ Schiripo, all of Dracut; four sisters: Mabel Vito, of Franklin; Mrs. John (Rose) Saro; Mrs. Donato (Josephine) DiRocco; Mrs. Henry (Dot) Potvin, all of Dracut; four sisters-in-law: Stephanie Schiripo, of Hampton, NH; Elizabeth Schiripo, of Hudson, NH; Louise Schiripo, and Mary Schiripo; both of Dracut; two brothers-in-law: Roland Desmarais, and Tom and Jean Berube, both of Dracut; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was the brother of the late Frank, Ferdimand, Renaldo, and Anthony Schiripo; Margaret Morin; Mary Lenzi; and Viola Desmarais.
Friends may call from 3 to 8 PM on Friday, July 29th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street, (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered Saturday, July 30th, at 9 AM at ST. FRANCIS CHURCH, Dracut. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Greater Lowell VNA; P.O. Box 1965; Lowell, MA 01853.
