WORCESTER-Kenneth A. Provost, 64, of 2 Blaine Avenue, died suddenly, Monday, July 25th in Henry Haywood Hospital, Gardner. He leaves a brother, Rev. Ronald D. Provost of Worcester, 2 sisters, Doris M. Jenkins of Hudson and Donna L. wife of W. James Furtado of Rutland, nephews and nieces. A brother, John F. Provost died in 1990 and a sister, Barbara E. Provost died in 1937.
He was born in Worcester the son of John L. and Laura M. (Carruthers) Provost and attended St. Peter’s High School. Mr. Provost worked in abrasives at the Norton Company for many years, until his retirement. Previously he worked for the H.H. Brown Shoe Company for many years. He was a charter member of St. Andrew the Apostle Church and a member of Toastmasters International. He enjoyed his camp and boating and loved working on his cars and trucks.
The funeral is Thursday, July 28th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main Street. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Spencer. A calling hour will be from 9:30 until 10:30 the morning of the funeral.
