Mary Ellen Ringer, 70, of Nancy Drive, Belmont died on Monday evening, July 25, 2005 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon after a sudden illness.
Mary Ellen was born on August 30, 1934, the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Yvonne (Fecteau) Dube. She was raised and schooled in Laconia, graduating with the Class of 1952 from Laconia High School. She had been a resident of Belmont for the past 23 years.
Prior to her retirement Mary Ellen was a secretary at Holy Trinity School in Laconia for many years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Laconia, and a former member of its choir. She was also a longtime volunteer at Lakes Region General Hospital.
Mary Ellen is survived by her husband of 39 years, Paul W. Ringer of Belmont, two sons, Michael A. Hildreth and his wife Karen of Franklin, and Christopher Ringer and Carla Clough of Sanbornton. Two daughters, Teri L. Hoyt and her husband Mark of Plaistow, NH, and Laurie Gilbert and her husband Greg of Belmont. Two sisters, Barbara Warren of Fayettville, NC, and Joyce Winsor and her husband Jim of Belmont. Ten grandchildren, Melissa Galloway, Shannon DuBreuil, Kathy Sperandio, Jason MacLeod, Timothy and Jessica Hoyt, Greg, Jennifer, and Alex Hildreth, and Nicholas Gilbert. Five great grandchildren, Marissa MacLeod, Dominic DuBreuil, Andrew, Brandon, and Madilynn Galloway. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, July 29, 2005 at St. Joseph Church, 30 Church Street, Laconia at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Gary J. Kosmowski pastor of the church celebrated the mass. Burial followed in the family lot at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours were Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm, and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Simoneau-Paquette Memorial Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia. Family and friends were invited to attend.
