Victor S. MacIntyre, age 100, passed away peacefully in the company of his loving family on Saturday, August 13, 2016. He was a lifelong Milton resident and had received his Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University, Boston. A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. MacIntyre served his country during WW II. He retired at age 98 from his career as a Design Engineer in Control Instrumentation and had been an active parishioner of St. Elizabeth Church for many years. The beloved husband of the late Roberta M. (Byrnes) MacIntyre, he was the devoted father of Robert W. MacIntyre and his wife Betty of Hingham, Donna L. MacIntyre of Berkley and the late Barbara A. Halliday. He is also survived by his 6 cherished grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church, Milton Wednesday morning at 10. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Tuesday, 5 to 8 PM. Burial will be in Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to St. Elizabeth Church, 350 Reedsdale Rd., Milton, MA 02186.
