Obituary

WAYLAND: William “Will” Allen Munroe was a great man, no matter how you knew him: father, husband, friend, or son.
He was born to William “Bill” and Mary Munroe in Lincoln on June 12, 1967.
William always strived for a good education. In his life he earned a BA, MBA, JD and LLM degrees. He was also a Certified Arborist with many professional certifications. Will always appreciated the small things in life from the first flowers, to the last leaf on a tree. Whether fishing, gardening or simply being in the rain, Will loved the outdoors. Will worked for what he wanted and one of his great accomplishments was Munroe Tree and Landscape.
Will was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on January 10, 2016. He fought it like a champ and taught us that it is not the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight and heart in the dog. Will passed with Karen by his side on August 10, 2016.
Will is survived by his greatest accomplishment, his family-wife Karen and sons William Louis (13) and Christopher Karl (11). His parents William and Mary Munroe, his sisters Elizabeth Overberg (Neil) and Hannah Munroe and numerous nephews and nieces and siblings in law also survive him.
Friends and family are invited to Will’s home on Monday August 15th, from 5-8pm. We request that guests bring a written remembrance of Will as a memory for his boys.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at the Saint Ann Church at Good Shepherd Parish, 124 Cochituate Road, Wayland followed by a private family burial.
In lieu of flowers, Will’s family would appreciate memorial gifts in his memory be sent to the Pancreatic Cancer Alliance Network (pancan.org).
