John D. DellaPaolera, 81 of Medford died Monday after a brief illness in the Peabody Glen Health Care Center Peabody, MA.
Born in Watertown, he lived in Medford for the past 25 years and formerly of Somerville. John was the son of the late Maria (Borella) and Raffaele DellaPaolera. Mr. DellaPaolera was the Proprietor of the Teele Sq. Lunchonette for 25 years and retired in 1998.
Beloved husband of the late Lillian (Clark) DellaPaolera. Devoted father of Richard DellaPaolera of North Hampton, NH, Mary Wells, Gary DellaPaolera both of Medford, John DellaPaolera Jr. of Reading. Loving grandfather of Julie, Bryan, Christopher, Daniel, Matthew, and John III. Brother of Egle DellaPaolera of Italy,
Eleanor Begley of Nevada, Irene Conlin of Wilmington, Margaret Thomas of Cambridge, Mickey DellaPaolera of Revere, and George DellaPaolera of Minnesota. Also survived by special friend and son-in-law Peter Wells, friend Dorothy Cote, and many friends at Tempone Manor.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
