Obituary

Robert A. Proulx 88 of Natick, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

He was the beloved husband of Pauline (Baril) Proulx who died in 1999.

A Natick resident for 43 years he was born in Auburn the son of the late Albert and Aldea (Dion) Proulx.

Mr. Proulx was a Civil Engineer and an Associate in the Firm of Hugh Stubbins, an internationally known firm in Cambridge. He retired in 1991 as a Senior Construction Administrator after 30 years with the firm.

He was an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects and the Boston Society of Architects. He was also a member of the Building Stone Institute and was associated with the Italian Trade Commission as a Consultant for the use of marble, granite and limestone in building projects.

He was an avid golfer at Sandy Burr Country Club in Wayland, and enjoyed European travel especially Italy and Switzerland.

Mr. Proulx was a Veteran of the United Sates Navy serving during World War II in the Atlantic and Mediterranean Fleets.

He is survived by one daughter Michele Proulx of Natick, two sons Charles Proulx and his wife Margaret of Grafton, Robert Proulx and his wife Sharon of Shrewsbury, four grandchildren, Kathryn Proulx, Maria Proulx, Sarah Proulx, Jackson Proulx, and a very large extended family of brother, sister’s in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday August 10 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common. Visiting hour on Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 A.M. prior to the service.

Burial with Military Honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Wednesday at 2:15 P.M.
