Maria L. Pastore, 61 of Somerville died Saturday at home after a brief illness.
Born in Italy, she lived in Somerville since 1954 and was the daughter of the late Carmela (Mesiti) and Domenic Giurleo. Maria was a Cook and Teacher at Kindercare Learning Center in Melrose for the past 5 years.
Beloved wife of Gerardo Pastore. Devoted mother of Laura Tassinari, Annmarie Doucette, Cristina, Ralph, Robert, Daniel, and Anthony Pastore. Also survived by 8 loving grandchidren. Sister of Rosanna LoCoco, Elizabeth Fernandez, Adele Reda, Nicodemo, Saverio, and Anthony Giurleo. Also many cherished nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Benedict Church, 21 Hathorne St., Somerville, at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday 4-9.
Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions may be sent to a charity of ones´ choice.
